Franklin Soriano is a plastic artist from the Dominican Republic, better known as Nerfertari Artever, whose art is inspired by Taino and African influences that together with the culture of European colonizers which shaped the social and cultural identity of the Caribbean islands. His paintings are often characterized by primitive communicational symbols and codes which abound in his work, although his modern technique is black and white graffities it is executed in Chinese ink over Fabriano paper. His paintings can be classified as surrealism and evidenced by Cubist culture among others.
